PURPOSE:To observe a lot of waveforms changing over the long period of time on one screen by displaying a time base by the value of a compression time width compressed from the value of the prescribed time by using prescribed omission signals. CONSTITUTION:The display start time and the time when a pattern changes next are read from an input circuit 1 to a central processing part 3, the period between the time and fixed time are compared and when the inputted time is longer, the two points of the time are stored in a memory part 4. Similarly, the time when the pattern changes next is read from the input circuit 1, omission time is judged and write to the memory part 4 is repeated within the time displayed on a display screen. Finally, while replacing the period between the display start time and the time stored in the memory part 4 with the omission signals, display to an output circuit 5, the display part 6 of a display or the like or the output device 7 of a plot or the like is performed.
