PURPOSE: To mix the paints in paint containers of different sizes by providing the subject apparatus with an inner frame having a removable shelf for supporting a container and a cam-operated clamping means for selectively clamping the paint container to a shelf and a vibrating means for mixing the paints in the paint containers by vibrating the inner frame. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus has the clamping means 4, coupled to the frame 26, for selectively clamping the paint container 50 and the vibrating means 104 for mixing the paint in the paint container 50 by vibrating the frame 26. This clamping means has clamping members 54 and 64 which are movably disposed so as to clamp the paint container 50 to the shelf 48 by coming into contact with the container 50, a cam 88 which comes into operative contact with the clamping members 54 and 64 and a rotating means which moves the clamping members 54 and 64 toward the container 50 by selectively turning the cam 88. Further, the vibrating means 104 includes an another end rotating means which rotates another end of the frame 26 round the axis and is mounted at a frame 36.
