PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mechanical and electric characteristic and anti-corrosion property of the attaching flange part of a solid electrolytic tube by constructing one or both of a soiled electrolyte and its attaching flange part by means of a slant material changing toward the outer periphery of a flange part. SOLUTION: A mandrel 13 is set in a rubber mold 14 so as to provide a space which may serve as a solid electorate tube and further a partition plate 15 is set to an end part which may serve as a flange part. then, powder A, B, C, D obtained by changing the composition of oxide stepwise is filled between a space going to be a solid electrolyte chamber and the plate 15. Thereafter, the plate 15 is removed from the flange part so as to form powder be means of a static water pressure press or the like. A sheath is laid on this molding and backed so as to obtain a solid electrolyte tube whose composition is changed stepwise toward the outside periphery of the flange. Used oxide powder is, for instance, α-Al2 O3 powder, Na2 CO3 powder, and MgO powder, and the included quantity of each powder is changed to provide powder A, B, C, D and such blending is offered that A composition comprises β-alumina sintered compact and D composition comprises α-alumina sintered compact. |
