The present invention provides a compact connector housing which has both a guiding function with respect to a mating connector housing and a function which prevents deformation of a resilient latching member by excessive external forces in a connector housing equipped with the resilient latching member that latches the mating connector housings in a latched position. The connector housing has a guide opening (6), which extends in the direction of engagement from the engaging end of the housing main body (2), which guides a projection formed on the mating connector housing, and in whose bottom portion a resilient latching member (3) is exposed, and a hood (4), which forms side walls of the guide opening (6), and which the resilient latching member (3) engages therewith to prevent deformation of the resilient latching member.
