摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance optical element by which resistance of an electrode can be reduced and which has high rectifying performance by forming a conductive layer having a specific shape between a base body and an electrode. SOLUTION: In this optical element 20, an electrode and an organic layer are laminated in this order on a base body 6 (for example, 6: a glass substrate, 5: an ITO transparent electrode, 4: a hole transport layer, 3: a light emitting layer, 2: an electron transport layer and 1: a metallic electrode). A conductive layer 9 having electric conductivity higher than the electrode 5 is arranged between the base body 6 and the electrode 5 as a part of the electrode 5 by contacting with the electrode 5, and a side surface 9a is inclined to the base body 6 side so that a layer thickness on the side surface 9a of this conductive layer 9 reduces over to the base body 6 side. It is desirable that an inclinationθof the side surface 9a of the conductive layer 9 is 12 to 22 degrees.
