METHOD FOR MAKING COLOUR TELEVISION TUBES WITH A COMBINATION OF ELECTRON GUNS

The invention provides an improved method for making a plurality of colour television tubes of approximately identical size comprising an electron gun selected among a combination of at least two different types of electron guns. The electron guns comprise each a plurality of electrodes, each electrode having apertures for the passage of three electronic beams. The improvement consists in selecting for each electrode materials at least two different types of electron guns which will generate a minimal difference in sensitivity to the beam focusing voltage between the two types of electron guns.
