DEVICE FOR CLEANING A SURVEILLANCE CAMERA WINDOW

The invention relates to a device for cleaning a camera window by means of a cleaning device. The camera housing has a guidance control system for movement in the horizontal and/or vertical directions. The distinguishing feature of the method is, that when time is due for cleaning of the camera window, the window is directed towards a place where a cleaning device is fixedly held. Then the camera window is brought into a position for cooperation with the cleaning device, e.g. by being moved relative to the cleaning device's window wiper rubber blade or brush, or by flushing by the cleaning device's flushing device. The cleaning device may alternatively be flexibly spring mounted immediately close to the camera window on the camera housing whereby the cleaning device may be pushed towards a fixed holder outisde the camera housing, thereby cooperating with the camera housing for cleaning of the camera window.
