PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach/detach an air filter, to improve convenience in cleaning the air filter, and to control deterioration in the performance of an air conditioner by opening an air inlet panel and a shielding plate of an air inlet of an air conditioner. SOLUTION: A box body comprises a cabinet 1, a decorative frame 2 and an air inlet panel 3. An air outlet 2a and an air inlet 3a are formed in the decorative frame 2 and the air inlet panel 3 respectively. A shielding plate 5 to open/shield the air inlet supported by guide rails 4 on right and left ends is provided rearward of the air inlet 3a. The shielding plate 5 is operated in the vertical direction along the guide rails 4, and shields the air inlet 3a when the shielding plate is moved to the lower end, and opens the air inlet when it is moved to the upper end. A heat exchanger 6 and a crossflow fan 7 are stored in the box body, an air filter 8 is arranged forward of the heat exchanger 6, and an air filter can be easily attached/detached by moving the shielding plate 5. |
