PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate signal with a smaller error for detection corresponding to the angular velocity of a device by making tuning forks to vibrate normally in the axial direction of the rod, rotating the device making the axis orthogonally crossed with the rod as the center and detecting the twisting force of a rod. CONSTITUTION:The rod 4 is arranged along a Y-axis, a twist detector 3 is provided in the center part, and the tuning forks 1, 2 are arranged in both sides of the detector 3. The tuning fork 1 is furnished with a rectangular metal vibrating plate 1a in the thin-sheet state, a longitudinal direction of which is faced to a Z-axis direction, and rectangular piezoelectric ceramics 1b, 1c are stuck to both sides of the vibrating plate 1a in the thickness direction. The tuning fork 2 is also furnished with the vibrating plate 2a and the piezoelectric ceramics 2b, 2c in the same manner. When the tuning forks 1, 2 are made to vibrate normally in the axial direction of the rod 4 and the device is rotated making the Z-axis orthogonally crossed with the axis of the rod 4 as the center, a Coriolis' force is exerted to the vibrating plates 1a, 2a in accordance with the angular velocity of the tuning forks 1, 2 at the time. The accurate signal for the angular velocity is obtained by detecting the twisting force of the rod 4 produced thereby. |
