The playing surface is formed as a rectangular surface-structured plastics base segment with screen pattern of negative push-fit connections on its surface so as to receive playing figures. The playing surface has negative connections formed by small circular holes that accommodate the centre stud (5) of the figure's positive connection which also has an outer ring (11) and an indentation (10) between ring and stud. The playing surface has a chess board type pattern and the playing figures have apart from the positive connection side (12), a negative (8) one so as to fit onto other playing pieces. The playing pieces can be symbols such as mice, football players, tortoises.
