PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support mechanism for balancing a microscope, such that movement of the head of a doctor around the microscope is seldom limited. SOLUTION: This support mechanism for balancing a microscope is so designed that the tilt shaft 37 of a support link 38 supporting a microscope 15 is located below an immobile point F during the vertical shaking of each end 35a of a transverse link 35, so that the center G1 , of gravity between the microscope 15 and the support link 38 is balanced with the center G2 of gravity between the transverse link 35 and a vertical link 36 in the direction opposite to the vertical link 36 across a vertical shaft Z. In this case, since the microscope 15 is supported via the support link 38 journalled to the lower end 36a of the vertical link 36, the vertical link 36 does not exist around the microscope 15, and therefore sufficient ambient space can be secured. |
