PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a powder coating material excellent in coating efficiency by incorporating a specified amount of a fine conductive metal oxide powder having a volume resistivity in a specified range in a powder coating material particles by melt kneading. SOLUTION: A fine conductive metal oxide powder having a volume resistivity of 1-100Ω.cm is used. This powder is used in an amount of 0.1-10.0 wt.% based on the powder coating composition. It is desirable that its volume-mean particle diameter is 0.01-1.0μm. It is exemplified by a fine. conductive titanium oxide powder, a fine conductive zinc oxide powder or a fine conductive tin oxide powder. Especially, conductive titanium oxide is desirable, and a fine acicular conductive titanium oxide powder is more desirable. The fine acicular conductive titanium oxide powder is desirably one having a length/breadth ratio of 10-150 and a breadth of 0.03-0.5μm. It is desirable that the volume-mean particle diameter of the powder coating material is 3-50μm.
