<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components of an optical connector to simplify mounting work on a housing body. SOLUTION: A light emitting/receiving module 2 is inserted in a housing body 3, a cap 10 is assembled to fix the light emitting/receiving module 2. In this cap 10 for an optical connector, a protrusion 11 is provided in the assembling direction (P) so as to contact the light emitting/receiving module 2, thereby avoiding the positional deviation of the light emitting/receiving module 2, and has an elasticity. Both ends of the protrusion 11 are truncated at acute angles to sharpen the top end. The protrusion 11 is cut in halves in the length direction.</p> |
