PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the transmission cable connection test equipment by which normal connection and abnormal connection of 0/1 systems transmission/reception cables are confirmed at once only at one line of transmission lines. SOLUTION: Each interface section 10 is provided with a system information generating circuit 11, a system information collation circuit 12, a display circuit 13 displaying a collation result of system information, and a multiplexer demultiplexer circuit 14. The system information generating circuit 11 sends system information designated by its own equipment to an opposite destination via the multiplexer demultiplexer circuit, and the system information collation circuit 12 collates the system information received from an opposite party equipment with the system information designated by its own equipment to discriminate matching/mismatching of system information and interruption of input and the result of system information collation is displayed on the display circuit 13 and the system information is sent to the opposite party equipment via the multiplexer demultiplexer circuit 14, the display circuit 13 displays whether or not transmission/reception optical fiber cables are correctly connected to the opposite party equipment based on the collation result of the system information collation circuit 12 of its own equipment and the system information collation result of the opposite party equipment received via the multiplexer demultiplexer circuit 14.
