SOLUTION: The resin for the plastic lens having a refractive index 1.69 to 1.80 is obtd. by reacting one or >=2 kinds of the isothiocyanate compds. selected from a polyisothiocyanate compd. and an isothiocyanate compd. having an isocyanate group and one or >=2 kinds of the active hydrogen compds. selected from a group consisting of polyol, polythiol and a hydroxy compd. having a mercapto group.
