PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for keyholes that allows easily finding a keyhole and inserting a key into the keyhole for unlocking. SOLUTION: When a knob 30 is swung about a shank 32, a driving and rotating force is transmitted from the knob 30 to an input shaft 82 via the shank 32 and a gear train 70. A generating part 80 generates electric power matching the driving and rotating force input to the input shaft 82, and outputs the electric power from an output terminal 82. The electric power generated by the generating part 80 is input to the input terminal 92 of a lighting part 90 via a lead wire 94 to allow the lighting part 90 to emit light to illuminate a keyhole 40. Even when it is dark outside a door 20, as during the night, the keyhole 40 can be easily detected because it is illuminated, and the door 20 can be opened by inserting a key into the keyhole 40 and unlocking a locking mechanism 60.
