摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor, electrophotographic method, electrophotographic device, and process cartridge for an electrophotographic device having high sensitivity, excellent potential stability for repeated use and yielding no abnormal image with which stable images can be obtained even after the photoreceptor is stored at high temperature and high humidity. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor contains titanyl phthalocyanine as a charge generating material in the photosensitive layer, and the content of ions are controlled to <=50 ppm K+, <=200 ppm Na+, <=50 ppm NO3-, <=100 ppm formic acid ion, <=50 ppm NO2-, <=100 ppm Cl-, <=50 ppm Br-, and 10 to 300 ppm ammonium ion to the titanyl phthalocyanine in the photosensitive layer. Thereby, the photoreceptor is made stable without suffering the decrease of high sensitivity and degradation of electrification properties or increase in residual potential even in repeated use. Alternatively, the photoreceptor contains an organic pigment as a charge generating material in the photosensitive layer, and stable images can be obtained with little production of black spots even after the photoreceptor is left at high temperature and high humidity by controlling the weight of water soluble total inorganic salts in the photosensitive layer to <=1000 ppm to the organic pigment.
