PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-sided adhesive tape suitable for obtaining a deformable rodlike packing material excellent in productivity owing to slight loss in a method for producing packing materials, causing no unfavorableness such as wrinkles, delamination from an adherend and the like when deformed to a ring or nonlinear form and the like and usable without limitation of adherend size or form, and to provide a rodlike packing material using the double-sided adhesive tape. SOLUTION: This double-sided adhesive tape is characterized by being obtained by respectively laminating adhesive layers on both sides of a substrate having >=100% longitudinal and transverse percent elongation and <=3 N/cm tensile strength at 100% elongation and laminating a double-sided release material layer on at least one side of the adhesive layer and the other objective packing material is characterized by being obtained by bonding the above- mentioned double-sided adhesive tape to a deformable rodlike foam.
