PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy and highly precise measurement of the curl amount of a sheet body without being affected by the change of a curled condition. SOLUTION: This device comprises a sheet body detecting mechanism 30 for detecting the end position of the sheet body 24, a flotation amount detecting mechanism 32 for detecting the flotation amount of the sheet body 24 in accordance with a detection signal for the end position and an arithmetic circuit 34 for operating the curl amount of the sheet body 24 in accordance with the flotation amount.
