摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a photographic film from entering into a joint part in carrying the photographic film without providing high/low level difference between a pair of sheet material carrier passages even if there is a clearance between the pair of sheet material carrier passages connected to each other. SOLUTION: An image input machine is so formed that one end part of a film feed passage 96 and other end of a reader carrier passage 52 along the film carrier direction are abutted on each other and a slit-shaped joint part 182 is formed between the film feed passage 96 and the reader carrier passage 52. The joint part 182 is formed inclined relative to th e passage width direction of the film feed passage 96 and the reader carrier passage 52 along a straight line, the length of the joint part 182 is set longer than the dimensions along the passage width direction of guide faces 96A and 96B of the film feed passage 96 and the passage width direction of guide faces 52A and 52B of the reader carrier passage 52. This constitution can prevent the tip of the photographic film 26 from entering into the joint part 182, when the photographic film 26 is carried on the joint part 182.
