PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric for a sand-protecting sheet, hardly generating fuzz and the propagation of the fuzz even on being exposed to water flow or wave for a long period of time and not opening a hole. SOLUTION: This nonwoven fabric for the sand-protecting sheet is provided by laminating a short fiber nonwoven fabric obtained by interlacing short fibers consisting of a thermoplastic polymer over at least the one side surface of a long fiber nonwoven fabric obtained by interlacing long fibers consisting of the thermoplastic polymer so as to laminate them as on unit at the laminated surface by interlacing the constituting fibers of the above short fiber nonwoven fabric and the long fiber nonwoven fabric each other.
