PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which both of residual toner left after secondarily transferring a toner image to a recording medium and unnecessary toner not transferred to the recording medium are efficiently removed from an intermediate transfer body without making the device larger nor lowering image producing efficiency as an image forming device in a system where an unfixed toner image is fixed on a recording medium as soon as it is transferred to the recording medium. SOLUTION: Since the amount of toner to be removed is small in ordinary clearing to remove the residual toner, the cleaning is nearly perfectly performed by making only a 1st cleaning device 12 of a blade type abut on the intermediate transfer body. The much unnecessary toner not transferred to the recording medium is nearly perfectly removed by using the device 12 after most of the toner is removed by a 2nd cleaning device 13 of a brush type by making the devices 12 and 13 abut on the transfer body.
