PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the measurement accuracy of piston frictional force by correcting or reducing the friction error increased by the effects of inertial force of a movable liner. SOLUTION: In the case a liner 2 moved by piston frictional force of an engine is measured as the piston frictional force with a load sensor 3, the inertial component of the liner is measured by placing an acceleration sensor 6 on the liner and by removing the liner inertial component measured with the acceleration sensor from the piston frictional force measured with the load sensor, the piston frictional force excluding the liner inertial component is measured. For another embodiment, a mechanism regulating the inertial force of the liner is placed on the liner and the effects of the liner are avoided.
