<p>PURPOSE:To prevent fuming and burning accidents and to improve the safety of an apparatus by stopping or reducing a field current, when the output waveform of a generator is abnormal. CONSTITUTION:The output of an armature winding 10 charges a battery 2 through a voltage regulator 13 and is supplied to a low voltage load via a switch 31, boosted by a three-phase transformer 61, rectified by a rectifier 62 and supplied to a window-glass heater 7. Voltage G<+>, G<-> at both ends of the rectifier 62 and voltages G+s, G-s at both ends of the heater 7, and respective-phase output voltages UI, VI, WI of the armature winding 10 are inputted to a microcomputer 81 via an A/D converter 83. The microcomputer 81 monitors the voltages G<+>, G<->, G+s, G-s to detect the abnormality of a high- tension circuit and also monitors the waveform turbulence of voltages UI, VI, WI to detect the abnormality of a low-tension circuit. At the time of abnormality detection, the C terminal of the voltage regulator 13 is earthed to cut OFF power generation.</p> |
