PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for automatically verifying a translator, capable of accurately and automatically and quickly confirming connection. SOLUTION: This device for automatically verifying a translator is constituted of a tester 301 and an automatic answering terminal 302. A call including calling ID notification is transmitted from the tester 301 through an exchange network (codes 103-105) to the automatic answering terminal 302, and the automatic answering terminal 302 checks whether or not the calling ID is preliminarily registered in its inside storage part. Then, when the ID is already registered, the automatic answering terminal 302 transmits its telephone number through the exchange network to the calling side tester. The calling side tester collates the telephone number from the incoming side automatic answering terminal with the calling telephone number, and when those telephone numbers are made coincident, the tester judges that the verification is non-defective.
