PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device and a base isolated structure using it, capable of being easily constructed without increasing the labor and cost of construction work, and effectively absorbing strong vibrations which a building is subjected to the vibrations. SOLUTION: The base isolation device 1, which is applied between the foundation part A0 of a building A and a horizontal member G1 of a first story portion A1 or between a beam G2 of the first story portion A1 and a horizontal member G3 of a second story portion A2 which vertically adjoin each other, includes a lower mounting part 11 mounted to he foundation part A0 or the beam G2, an upper mounting part 12 mounted to the horizontal member G1 or the horizontal member G3, and an elastically deforming part 1X intervening between the lower mounting part 11 and the upper mounting part 12 to elastically vary the relative position of the upper mounting part 12 to the lower mounting part 11 when the building A bears vibration.
