PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable yarn-guiding member capable of surely guiding a knitting yarn by suppressing the yarn from thrusting of a slider even if the supplied knitting yarn is a specific knitting yarn such as a tape yarn, loop yarn, or the like. SOLUTION: This flat knitting machine arranging needle plates at an even interval on a needle bed, and equipped with the needle bed installed with plural knitting needles in parallel as capable of operating for projecting and retreating by a carriage, is provided by using knitting needles mounted at the needle plate, which are compound needles capable of operating the slider with a carriage as projecting and retreating, installing a blade for extending and opening a loop at one side part of the main body of the knitting needles, arranging each yarn-guiding member as capable of slide-operating so that its guiding surface at its tip projects and retreats from the tip of the needle bed, and installing a movable yarn-guide is positioned with the guiding surface at its tip almost symmetrically to the hook parts of the knitting needles.
