A method of producing a laminated composite structure, wherein a laminated structure is produced having a flat, hexagonal-cell structure (18); a first sheet material (14) impregnated with thermosetting resin (12), and a second sheet material (21) impregnated with resin (12), which are placed respectively contacting a first and a second face (18a, 18b) of the flat hexagonal cell structure (18); and a first and a second sheet (10, 25) of material impervious to the resin, and which define respective opposite sides of the laminated structure. The laminated structure is heated to set the resin and produce a stable connection between the end portions of the cells and the first/second sheet material (14, 21) which defines a respective first/second plate connected firmly to the hexagonal-cell structure (18).
