The method involves determining whether a preset shift compensation control entrance condition exists. An amount of blow-up is calculated, when occurrence of blow-up is determined. A hydraulic duty compensation is performed for an off-going friction unit based on the amount of the blow-up. An engine torque compensation is performed based on a transmission output shaft revolutions per minute (rpm) and a turbine torque.
