PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilating apparatus for window type air conditioner in which a packaging volume is reduced in the state of shipping and simultaneously a lever is prevented from being destroyed and a packaging paper is prevented from being broken in a transportation process by avoiding exposure of a ventilating lever to the outside when a product is shipped, and permitting a front final end of the lever to be exposed to the outside through a discharge grill of the front panel by a manual force in the state where it is mounted in a window after shipped. SOLUTION: In a window air conditioner which is divided therein into an indoor part and an outdoor part with a partition 6, there are provided a ventilating hole formed on the side of a discharge grill of the partition for coupling the indoor part and the outdoor part, a first lever 102 disposed longitudinally movably on the discharge grill 4 side of the indoor part, guide lever means kept its horizontal state unchanged and preventing the lever from being separated when the lever 102 is moved longitudinally, a damper 103 for opening/closing a ventilating hole 101 following longitudinal movement of the lever 102, and a lever which is contained in the indoor part upon product being shipped and which is rotated in a linear state with the lever 102 upon installation, to be exposed at its end to the outside. |
