A receiving structure for an air bag supporting belt is provided to protect the supporting belt of the air bag from the rain and dust and to control the tensile load necessary for the belt cover by changing the strength of the fragile part. A receiving structure for an air bag supporting belt installed with a supporting belt(51) connecting an air bag(50) and a vehicle body is composed of an air bag module placed at the center of the vehicle width direction of the body or around the center; and spaces extended to the forward and backward directions of the body at the left/right sides of the rear of the air bag module to receive the supporting belt. The space is covered by a cover(22) made of a resin. The cover is opened to the outside when the outer side of the vehicle width direction is a shaft.
