COMPOSITION COMPRISING TYROSOL DERIVATIVES FOR ANTI OXIDATION

An antioxidation composition comprising tyrosol derivatives is provided to remove DPPH(diphenylpicrylhydrazyl) free radical and peroxide ion, and inhibit oxidation by TEAC(trolox-equivalent antioxidant capacity) method. The antioxidation composition for preventing and treating diseases associated with oxidation including cancer, aging, coronary arteriosclerosis, diabetes, epilepsy and neurodegenerative disease comprises 0.1 to 50 wt.% of a tyrosol derivative selected from para-tyrosyl gallate represented by the formula(1), meta-tyrosyl gallate represented by the formula(2) and ortho-tyrosyl gallate represented by the formula(3), wherein the composition is a pharmaceutical or health food composition having formulation of powder, granule, tablet, capsule or drink, and the daily dosage of the tyrosol derivatives is 0.01 mg/kg to 10 g/kg.
