A mobile communication terminal having a multiple-layered upper keypad is provided to expose the first and second shadow keys of the first lower keypad by horizontally moving the second upper keypad for using the exposed keys instead of a shadow key of a lower keypad, thus a user can easily operate keys in a shadow area even with one hand. A body(110) has a front side and a rear side. A display window is installed in an upper part of the front side of the body(110). An upper keypad(114) is installed on the front side of the body(110) under the display window. A lower keypad(112) is installed on the front side of the body(110) under the upper keypad(114). The upper keypad(114) consists of the first upper keypad(116) having keys located in a shadow area of the lower keypad(112), and the second upper keypad(118) installed to horizontally move in an upper part of the first upper keypad.
