A viscous material stirring device is provided to make polymer products by securing good heat exchange efficiency and to cut down the manufacturing cost by reducing the use amount of a heat medium. In the viscous material stirring device(41), a chamber(13) has a cylindrical side wall part(13b) and a bottom part(13a) and contains viscous material. A draft tube(19) is fixed to the inner center of the chamber at a distance from the bottom part, separated from the side wall part of the chamber to form an interspace passing the viscous material, between the side wall part of the chamber and the draft tube, and embedded with a heat medium passage(15) passing a heat medium. A transfer impeller(30) is installed in the draft tube and operated by receiving power supplied from an outer driving unit to transfer and discharge the viscous material to the upper or lower part of the draft tube and make the viscous material filled into the interspace, flow into the draft tube. A sweeping impeller(47) is mounted in the interspace and rotates in a circumferential direction of the draft tube by receiving power supplied from the outer driving unit, to prevent the viscous material filled into the interspace from being stuck to the outer peripheral surface of the draft tube and the inner peripheral surface of the side wall part of the chamber by applying pressure to the viscous material.
