A method for a web-based business to provide a system which facilitates the creation and management of artwork, with particular technical specifications and the collection of such artwork, is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: (a) compiling publication specifications or requirements into templates; (b) administering an online design interface which is accessible via log-in, for the creation and management of artwork, where the interface cooperates with a server; (c) the interface prompting for any intended position data, and for second data to be populated into templates, where the data is compiled into displayable artwork; (d) the interface incorporating, on command, artwork from one or more advertisers into a block or page; (e) administering a website or a browser-based downloader which has links pointing to downloadable artwork; (f) providing on the interface a button or link which may be clicked on for artwork to be approved; (g) the server creates high-resolution files of approved artwork and assigns artwork identification numbers for approved artwork; and (h) transmitting artwork from the server to another machine.
