A SCRAPING DEVICE FOR CLEANING SURFACE OF ALUMINUM RODS

A scraping device is used to clean-out oxide layer of metal products, especially for aluminum rods. In the device, a spindle (4) is fixedly supported on a base frame (5). There is a tool hold (11) on one end of the spindle (4); there are bearings on the tool hold (11) and the spindle (4). The tool hold (11) is provided with a cutter shaft (14); a counterbalance (13) is fixedly connected with the cutter shaft (14). The output end of the cutter shaft (14) is connected with an arbor (16); a blade (18) is installed in an elastic bore of the arbor (16). A belt (7) and its pulley are positioned between the end of the base frame (5) and a baffle (8); the device can automatically feed and automatically withdrawal the blades (18). The device scraps oxide layer of the steel wire product following its surface contour.
