The device has a radio frequency identification reader (3) housed in an access lock (2). The reader detects a code of an electronic identification transponder (1) i.e. electronic chip, such that the code is conformed to legislation on identification of a carnivorous domestic animal e.g. dog, when the animal is sufficiently remote for reading the code. The transponder is implanted below a skin of a neck of the animal. The reader transmits an electric signal towards a door access opening control system (5).
