The present invention relates to a wearable type mobile terminal which can authenticate a user with a new form different from the existing technology. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the wearable type mobile terminal comprises: a display unit; a band unit having a plurality of holes and a fastener coupled to at least one of the plurality of holes; and a control unit for detecting a hole coupled to the fastener of the plurality of holes, and performing a first authentication based on the detected result. The control unit performs a second authentication by using a user input applied to the display unit when the first authentication is failed, and controls the display unit by using at least one from the first authentication and the second authentication. |
