PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a starting delay while suppressing vibration of a vehicle caused by preignition.SOLUTION: In the case of presence of an automatic start request (S20), when a predicted compression time in-cylinder temperature Tp having a positive correlation with a predicted preignition strength is equal to or higher than a preignition threshold value Tig (NO in S60), a forward backward switching mechanism is released to automatically start an engine (S110 and S120), and when the predicted compression time in-cylinder temperature Tp is lower than the preignition threshold value Tig (YES in S60), the forward backward switching mechanism is engaged to automatically start the engine (S70 and S80).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
