The present invention relates to a mobile terminal capable of displaying an augmented reality image and a control method thereof. The mobile terminal comprises: a camera to receive an image; a display unit to display the image received from the camera; and a control unit to display information regarding a part of a vehicle included in the received image with the received image when the image related to the predetermined vehicle is received. The information regarding a part of the vehicle includes at least one among names, shapes, and functions of any one of first components installed between an external frame for forming the appearance and an internal frame for forming the inner side of the vehicle and second components arranged on the internal frame of the vehicle.
