PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool length measuring device for measuring a measurement surface reliably while weakening the elastic force of a spring.SOLUTION: A tool length measuring device of the invention comprises support means for supporting a measurement surface, against which it abuts at the leading end of a tool while performing a translational motion in accordance with a biasing force received from said tool. Moreover, the tool length measuring device of the invention further comprises detection means for detecting the position of said measurement surface. Moreover, the tool length measuring device of the invention comprises bias means for biasing said measurement surface by gas in a direction against the biasing force received from said tool.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
