PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focal plane shutter that changes the attachment direction of a buffer member to change a plane bumping against blades, and thereby can adjust the amount of bound of the blades even if the magnitude of driving force of a drive unit, the mass of members forming a blade group, or the like is different.SOLUTION: A focal plane shutter comprises: a shutter base plate 1; a front blade group 2 including arms 2a, 2b rotatably attached to the shutter base plate 1 and one or more blades 2c, 2d, 2e attached to the arms 2a, 2b; and a buffer member 6 that includes a plurality of collision planes 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d capable of stopping the blades 2c, 2d, 2e forming the front blade group 2, and that is attached to the shutter base plate 1 such that any of the collision planes 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d faces the blades 2c, 2d, 2e forming the front blade group 2, and the positions of at least two collision planes 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d on the shutter base plate 1 are different from each other in the direction facing the blades 2c, 2d, 2e.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
