POLYESTER COATING MATERIAL Gl-. Comprise the two components (A) 50-10% by wt. of a polymer contng. N-methylol and/or N-methylol ether groups and (B) 50-90% of a polyester contng. hydroxyl and carboxyl groups. (B) has mol. wt. 600-3000 and is prepd. by esterifying a hydroxyl component (I) which is a mixture of (a) 1-25 mol.% of one or more aliphatic polyols having 3 or 4 -OH groups and 3-6 C atoms and (b) 99-75 mol.% of a mixture comprising 70-30 mol.% ethylene glycol and 30-70% mol.% of propanediol- (1,2) together with an acid component (II) in which is a mixture of (a) 91-33 mol.% of one or more aromatic or cycloaliphatic dicarboxylic acids and/or their derivs. and (b) 9-67 mol.% of one or more aliphatic dicarboxylic acids with 4.12 C atoms and/or their derivs. Also up to 30 mol.% of (I) may be replaced by one or more aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diols in which the -OH groups are separated by 2-8C atoms and up to two of the C atoms may be bound to oxygen atoms, these C atoms being sepd. by at least 2 C atoms.
