A cut is made by making numerous passes (1-3) of the liquid jet nozzle over the same section of material, so that 0.01-6 mm of material is removed during each pass until finally less than 4 mm of material remains at the bottom of the cut. Waste material generated during cutting is then removed in a subsequent step. |
