1287613 Wood shaping machine G GEMMANI and L AURELI [trading as SOC COSTRUZIONI MACCHINE SCM DI GEMMANI & AURELI SnC] 6 Oct 1969 [13 Nov 1968] 48969/69 Heading B5L A machine for moulding wood or like material includes a copier device which comprises a pair of counter-rotating rollers 21, 29 arranged above the work-table 5 of the machine with their axes perpendicular to the surface of the work-table, the distance between the axes of the rollers being variable against the action of resilient means, between the rollers there being interposable a template 40 which has a substantially constant thickness and is fixed to the lower side of a table 41, Fig. 2, which carries a piece 42 to be worked, the rollers being rotated in opposite directions by a rotary motion source, and one of the rollers being connected to the rotary motion source by means which enable it to rotate at a variable peripheral speed relative to the other roller. As described the rollers 21, 29 have rubber sleeves. and are mounted on shafts 19, 27 respectively. The shaft 19 passes through a hole 20 in the table 5 and carries a fixed pinion 18. The shaft 27 passes through a slot 28 in the table 5, is pivotally mounted in a spring loaded arm 23 and carries a pinion 33 frictionally coupled to the shaft 27. The pinions 18, 33 are driven in opposite directions by a chain 17 connected via tearing to a variable speed motor. The roller 21 is of smaller diameter than the roller 29, and its shaft 19 may be aligned with the spindle of a cutting tool mounted above the table 5. Alternatively the shaft 19 is hollow and the cutting tool spindle passes therethrough. |
