1456981 A set of golf dubs ISOPRENE PROCESS Ltd 25 June 1974 [2 Oct 1973] 46026/73 Heading A6D A group of golf clubs in which each club comprises a head having a planar striking face with parallel upper and lower edges, the face being inclined at an acute "loft" angle; and a shaft 'C' connected to the head in such a manner that a "lie" angle Y is defined; the angles 'X' and 'Y' being chosen for each club to give a unique combination of "lie" and "loft". The dimensions HT, Lg (length of striking face-not shown) A2, and a further dimension (not shown) defined relative to the shaft axis and the centre of gravity of the head CG, are all characterisitic dimensions kept constant for each head of the set-as too are the equispaced markings R on the striking face E which are distributed about a vertical axis as shown. As implied by the figures, the sole plane lies perpendicular to the shaft axis Viewed along the striking face. The back face A carries two recesses of unspecified geometry (not shown). |
