PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery which allows a rise of the battery internal pressure quickly even in case the battery voltage rises steeply in the over-charged region, thereby actuating a current shutoff mechanism certainly which operates with the battery internal pressure, and can avoid the rise of the battery temp. SOLUTION: A positive electrode active material LiCoO2 , an electroconductive aid material consisting of graphite powder, and a binder consisting of binylidene polyfluoride are mixed together in a proportion by weight of 85:10:5, and the obtained mixture is mixed by wet system with N-methyl-2-pyrolidone, and then 5% by wt. zinc carbonate with the mean particle size below 30μm is added to lithium-cobalt composite oxide. The obtained admixture is applied to the surfaces of a positive electrode electricity collecting body consisting of an aluminum foil using an application machine, followed by drying and a press working with a roll press machine so that a positive electrode 3 is fabricated. Using this positive electrode 3, the intended non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is accomplished. |
