An amplitude modulated A.C. voltage is applied to the tested object. The phase modulation produced in it is converted by a following phase discriminator in a corresponding change of output voltage, which serves as a measure for the am/pm conversion factor. The measurement a.c. voltage (Um) is amplitude modulated by a modulation a.c. voltage (Us), in turn modulated with an auxiliary A.C. voltage (UH). A voltage component (Us") of the frequency (fm) demodulated after passage through the object (X) is applied to a phase discriminator, to which a reference A.C. voltage (UB) of the same frequency (fs) is applied. Its output voltage variations at a frequency (fH) of the auxiliary output voltage (UH) are evaluated.
|
