<p>The cladding for a vehicle roof is designed to provide protection should, for example, the vehicle overturn or be struck by falling objects. The cladding comprises a mat (9) with a cellular structure which is placed on the roof and provided with a shell-like cover (4) releasably attached to the borders of the roof. The cover has a beaded border (5) which can engage in the narrowed channel of a profiled strip (7) which encircles the roof and is made of elastic material. The bottom of the strip has an extended region (8) which engages under the bottom edge of the mat. The strip is attached to the roof by a water-resistant adhesive layer (10).</p> |
