PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of mounting an electric component which solves pickup miss of a chip by previously judging whether or not simultaneous pickup is possible, when the chips of parts feeders arranged in parallel are simultaneously picked up, with a plurality of nozzles of transfer heads. SOLUTION: Nozzle position data of a first nozzle 9a, a second nozzle 9b and a third nozzle 9c have been previously found with a first camera, and data of pickup positions of chips A, B and C of parts feeders 4A, 4B and 4C are found with a second camera. Further a permissible range K, wherein the chips A, B and C can be picked up, is set. First, the first nozzle 9a is selected as a reference nozzle and set at the pickup position PA of the parts feeder 4A, and then it is judged whether or not the second nozzle 9b and the third nozzle 9c are in the permissible range K. If the result of the judgement is Yes, simultaneous pickup is performed, and when it is No, separate pickup is performed. |
